There are Four categories of memberships viz.,

  1. Professional Membership – Psychologist: For those who have completed Masters in Psychology or its branches such as HRD/Organizational/Industrial Psychology, Health Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Sports Psychology, Clinical Psychology and Cognitive Psychology in India from a UGC Recognized University or abroad
  2. Allied Professional Membership – Counselor: For those who have completed Masters in Psychological Counseling or Guidance & Counseling or Counseling & Psychotherapy from a UGC Recognized University in India or abroad
  3. Allied Professional Membership- Psychotherapist: For those who have completed Masters in Psychological Counseling or Guidance & Counseling or Counseling & Psychotherapy from a UGC Recognized University AND International Practitioner Certification in a particular approach such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Expressive Arts Therapy and Psycho-analysis
  4. Student membership: For those who are studying Bachelors/Masters in Psychology or its branches or Psychological Counseling or Guidance & Counseling or Counseling & Psychotherapy in India from a UGC Recognized University or abroad

Entrance Fee of a member: The candidate shall remit Rs.1000/- as his entrance fee to become a professional member and shall remit Rs. 800/- as his fee to become a student member.

A student member should remit Rs. 200/- after he completes studentship to become a professional member.

By paying the entrance fee, the candidate/student is entitled for one financial year membership i.e. April to March

Renewal Fee: After completion of the first year membership, each member shall pay his/her annual subscription amount of Rs.200/- every year before 10th April as the renewal fee for the next financial year to continue as a member.

How to become a Member?

STEP II: Pay the membership fee as prescribed above in the bank though Netbanking/Direct Deposit in any branch of Indian Bank. Following are the details of the bank account.

STEP III: Send a mail to aipdesk@gmail.com with the following attachments.

  1. Filled in application form in MS-Excel format
  2. For professional Membership: Scanned copies of your ORIGINAL (not photocopies) Certificates for Educational Qualifications (UG Degree Certificate/Marksheet/Provisional Certificate, PG Degree Certificate/Marksheet/Provisional Certificate, M.Phil Degree Certificate/Marksheet/Provisional Certificate, Ph.D Degree Certificate). We also accept photos taken through mobile camera if the letters in the certificates are clearly visible.

  For Student Membership: Scanned copy/Photo of your identity card (ORIGINAL – not photocopied) provided by the College/University (Both sides)

3. Scanned Copy/Photo of any one ID card provided by the government (ORIGINAL – not photocopied-such as Passport, Aadhar Card, Driving License and Voter Id card)

4.Your recent passport size photograph in JPEG format only.

5. Scanned copy of the direct deposit acknowledgement/PDF  acknowledgement or Screen Shot of Net banking transaction (Not applicable for Cash/DD/Cheque Payments)

Note: We do not accept photocopies/hardcopies of Certificates/Student Identity card/Passport/ Aadhar Card/ Driving License / Voter Id card for processing membership application. So please do not post them to us. If any of the above is not followed, your membership application will be rejected.

STEP IV: Please wait for our reply. You will be allotted a membership number by 15th of the following month and you will be intimated the by email. If you do not receive any such email till the 15th of the following month, contact us for the status.

How to renew the membership?

STEP I:  Pay the renewal fee of Rs. 200 in the bank though Netbanking/Direct Deposit in any Indian Bank branch before April 10th. In case of moving from Student Member Category to Professional Member Category, please pay Rs. 700 (500 for upgrading membership + 200 for renewal of membership) Following are the details of the bank account.

STEP II: Send a mail to aipdesk@gmail.com with your membership number and membership category. If there are any updates in your details such as phone number or membership category or educational qualification, please mention them in the mail. In case of update in the educational qualification, scanned copy of the certificate has to be attached.

If the payment is done thorough Direct Deposit/Net banking, send the scanned copy of the direct deposit acknowledgement/PDF acknowledgement of Net banking transaction.

STEP III: Please wait for our reply. You will be intimated with a message that your membership is renewed by email by 15th of the following month. If you do not receive any such email, contact us for the status.
